The richest 300 in Ireland have doubled their wealth from €50 to €100 billion from 2010-2017. While the rest of us suffered through the crisis, the super rich have only accumulated more riches.

Talk of billions can be hard to put in context. If 300 of us on €30k tried to make it to €100 billion it would take us 11,111 years - which would take us back to the agricultural revolution.

Ireland's trend is the global trend. 8 billionaires now own as much as the poorest 50% of humans, i.e. 3.7 billion people.

'Linear progress' is a myth. Things are not improving year on year. Only if we band together and fight for our rights will we live better.
