In this video I review a little Chinese metal pocket fountain pen by Lanbitou -- the 3009 Space Pen. This kicks off my summer of spending more time with some long time resident pens that haven't had much attention!
If it wasn't for the small ink capacity (and/or my inability to get enough ink into it) bladder filling system this would be a daily carry pen for me because it writes super smooth, posts quickly and securely and it's the perfect size for a pocket pen. There's always a chance I'll get better at filling it!!!
Here are some measurements I took:
Weight: 17.3 grams
Length capped: 95 mm, 3.75"
Length un-posted: 86 mm, 3 and 3/8"
Length posted: 132 mm, 5 and 3/16"
Price range: ? e-bay is showing old sales between $5 and $8 but I couldn't find any current listings. It's possible this will show up under some other name and I will keep looking.
Availability: seems harder to find now.
I'd love to find a small metal pocket pen like this that took a cartridge or a converter and was not expensive!!!! The bladder filler makes me think twice yet I do enjoy using this at home where I can refill it often.
