New School for Social Research doctoral students Lala and Malkhaz established the Memory Studies Center to share the insights on social, political, and historical phenomena they've gained through innovative interdisciplinary inquiry.

Graduate students at The New School for Social Research find the freedom and support they need to develop transformative research initiatives in emerging fields such as memory studies. PhD Politics student Lala, PhD Sociology student Malkhaz, and their peers formed a group to advance interdisciplinary study of the public’s memory and interpretation of events, which have important political consequences.
