Back before they had digital radios and encryption nowadays, you could listen to all of the police and fire radio traffic in Lake County Illinois on a couple of analog VHF channels. The main one was F1, which had the Lake County Sheriff's Dept on it, along with most of the police agencies in Lake County. We also hear Waukegan on F2, along with the fire band radio channel (only one back then). We also hear VHF point to point and ISPERN radio traffic. All from the year 1972.
