I am both late to this trend and late to AroAce awareness week which was the point of this video but shhhhhhhh.
Characters: Nightingalesleet (Brown and white shecat owned by me)
Prettykit/Prettyflower (white kitten then white cat with pink flower owned by @peachbowle )
Coldflower (Faceless white shecat owned by @ruunea_ )
Thawblaze (grey, white, and brown scarred tom owned by @ruunea_ )
The Story:
Nightingalekit was born as the "uglier" sister of Coldflower's second litter while Prettykit was a perfect, pure white, blue-eyed little girl. Prettypaw chose to become a medicine cat apprentice -- much to Coldflower's disapproval as the mother wanted her preferred daughter to have kittens of her own. Nightingalepaw couldn't help but wonder if Prettypaw was Starclan's favorite too, though she holds nothing but genuine love for her sister. Trying to be perfect, Nightingalesleet started a relationship with Thawblaze. While he wasn't anything horrible, Nightingalesleet couldn't help but be aware that she had no feelings towards him. And as she unhappily did her warrior duties, she became aware that she felt no attraction towards any of the cats in Sunclan. Nightingalesleet broke up with Thawblaze, letting him know that she was aroace and would never love him, but he took it poorly. Thawblaze takes any chance to berate his ex and Nightingalesleet tries to cope with her constant loneliness. She's happy that she doesn't have to force herself to feel romance any longer, but she'll never get over the jealousy that gnaws at her when she sees the rest of her family in committed relationships.
Bonus facts: Nightingalesleet and Prettyflower are Skydawn's half sisters (Skydawn being heavily prominent in other COTC animations of mine as she's my main OC Gorseflight's dead mate)
Nightingalesleet has a fear of hawks as she was lifted off by one as a kitten before being saved by Bluestream
Nightingalesleet learned who her father was when she was a kitten, but she will always view Bluestream/star as her real dad, regardless of the fact that Coldflower cheated on him to have Nightingale and Pretty
