Alpha Jams visuals show real-time fretboard diagrams to help you play more melodic solos and follow the harmony.
🧠 The 3 Layers:
1. Pentatonic – Always safe, always groovy. Core rock/blues vocabulary.
2. Mode – Adds two more notes to the pentatonic. Use for color and modal flavor.
3. Chord Tones – These follow the chord changes. Use them for riffs, arpeggios, and phrasing.
🎯 Incoming notes fade in. Outgoing notes fade out. Chord tones appear in yellow.
🎵 Note Labels:
• R – Root (key center)
• m2 / M2 – Minor / Major Second
• m3 / M3 – Minor / Major Third
• P4 / P5 – Perfect Fourth / Fifth
• D5 (b5) – Diminished Fifth (the “blues note” 😈)
• m6 / M6 – Minor / Major Sixth
• m7 / M7 – Minor / Major Seventh
These labels follow standard music interval theory — look it up if you’re curious!
