The best way to farm bamboo using bone meal and very few blocks.
This is version 2 of the farm I designed two years ago, it's more compact and doesn't destroy shulker boxes.

This farm works in Minecraft Java Edition from 1.21 to the latest version 26.2.
This farm will probably NOT WORK on paper by default but you might make it work by enabling some settings. And it's probably the same with Donut SMP.
