Heavy fire from an automobile extending into a metal clad 100' x 75' commercial building with moderate smoke showing from the structure. It took 41 firefighters 30 minutes to achieve a knockdown of the auto and structure fires. One patient from the involved automobile is being evaluated and transported to a local hospital for burn injuries. Units will remain on scene for approximately 2 hours to confirm complete extinguishment of the fire. LAFD Arson has been requested for additional investigation. IC (incident command) has requested Building and Safety to assist in determining the viability and safety of the compromised structure.
