I was recently commissioned to paint this spot in the south west of scotland looking out to Ailsa Craig (Creag Ealasaid) and behind it the Isle of Arran.

PART 1 : On my visit here I painted until sunset on 2 large canvases in acrylic. These paintings are later worked on top with oil in the studio and can be seen in part 2 which shows the big 180 x 100cm oil on linen painting being worked on in the studio.
