After my recent conversation with Andrew Flores, I rewatched Jacques Lacan’s 1973 Télévision (La Psychanalyse). No doubt it’s worth a watch if you want to think deeply about philosophy and language in any way, no matter your inclinations. To paraphrase Alain Badiou, only those who have had the courage to work through Lacan’s anti-philosophy without faltering deserve to be called ‘contemporary philosophers’.
