I actually intended to finish this game all of the way through, but two hours in I got fully stuck, so you get as far as the exterior of the castle - that's about 80% of the way through, but.... I'm not happy about that
So this was acutally one of the games I got with my original C64, so of course I've got some emotional attachment to it. But it was always going to be an impossible one for tape to do well, given all of the branching paths - you can see in some of the longer loads where certain scenes have been skipped because of that... but actually I don't think this works too badly, even playing it today. It's especially playable as a first time playthrough, since you spend a lot more time in scenes - I'll admit I zip through this because I mostly knew what to do from playing it years ago
This is, btw, by far the longest video I've done, coming in at around two hours. If someone understands what I'm doing wrong near the end, I'd love to try again and do a complete start-to-finish playthrough - the strategy guides I looked up had different answers, and none of them seemed to work.
The best bet is take a path which skips that scene, of course,. which I'm assured is possible, but I've never done that!
