Labskaus – a dish that stands out. Because of its striking pink color, its mushy consistency, and the combination of fish and meat. And this Northern German dish has much more to offer than meets the eye. Labskaus originated in seafaring. On long voyages, sailors had to make do with simple, shelf-stable ingredients – and in doing so, they created something entirely new.
