Posted for public interest and situational awareness: "Labeled A Monster" by, Anthony Scott Searles-Harris. This man is currently holding 5 of his remaining hostages on the second floor of the building where the Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS) and the Kern County He allegedly has a bomb strapped to himself and has a tripwire attached to a woman's leg. He requested that they provide him copies of his case files to which they complied. He's reviewing them now apparently. It's still an active scene in Bakersfield, CA at the Chase Bank building.
In the video, Searles-Harris is showing various pieces of evidence that contradict what law enforcement used to get a conviction allegedly.
No one would listen, so he orchestrated this hostage standoff to weaponize public attention and force the courts to review his case.
In desperation to be heard,
he orchestrated a life-threatening standoff with a bomb and a tripwire just to expose what he believes is a wrongful conviction, but by doing so, he has likely; instead guaranteed himself an ironclad liife sentence.
UPDATE: The suspect was apparently shot and killed by federal agents ending the lengthy stand-off.
