I went on a kayaking tour on La Jolla coastline and caves, The linkage above will take you to the company who I went through.
One of the coolest facts I Learned was DR. Suess, lived and worked in a house on the above cliffs. He heard a company planned to cut down the Torri pines in the area and they ONLY exist in the area and being a conservationist, he set out to save them. Some were removed to put in the Torri Pines golf course, but others remain to this day. His book, The Lorax is written about saving these trees and the pines were written in as the Truffula trees, and the vanishing sea otter was portrayed by the Lorax himself.
Other than some really cool facts, funny jokes, a splash fight between to rival kayaks tours, seeing some cool local wildlife, getting to "GO FAST AND BE FIRST", great work out, we had a blast, I found a kick ass neckless, Ill give to my chick, to bring her good luck! :-)
