Sounds of my Grandparents Era
La Danseuse, composed by Franz von Blon and performed by Brunswick Concert Orchestra under the direction of Louis Katzman. Recorded on August 24, 1928 and released on Brunswick Record 4462 78 RPM Record sold in Australia. Played on a Victrola Talking Machine with a Tungs-Tone Stylus. Videography by Dane C. Sorensen.
There are probably far better sounding recordings of this, but this video gives you an idea what an average persons in the 1920s would have been able to listen to on their home talking machine. This record belonged to my Grandparents - Frederick and Genevieve Robertson.
