Linear regression is one of the methods that can be trained via gradient descent. In fact, we can also draw parallels between the perceptron and linear regression and view linear regression as a linear neuron. In this video, we will do exactly that, since it helps us with introducing gradient descent "gradually" (pun intended) one step at a time.
