We continue with slide set 2. History of quantum mechanics, talking briefly about blackbody radiation, de Broglie wavelength, Heisenberg's matrix algebra, Schrodinger equation, Schrodinger's cat. Then we very quickly review slide set 3. Complex numbers covering definitions, addition and multiplication of complex numbers, polar representation, Euler's formula, complex conjugation, division of complex numbers. We then make a start on slide set 4. Linear algebra I discussing vectors and scalars, scalar multiplication, and conjugate vectors.
