This example of Kromer Protector was made in mid 60's. Serial number 484742. Inside is 11 wafers. 10 sprung wafers and the 11th being a split wafer that is does not use a spring. All elements act the definition of Tapered. So much so that one of the best ways to fight it was compressing the wafer pack. This however muddied the feedback a lot.
This lock is rare, collectable, and hard to replace. So I didn't want to risk damaging anything. I have access to the same method as West Lockpicking and DoNotDuplicate. So in the spirit of locksport I'm using as close to their method as possible. 2mm wire and basic tools. I'm not risking epoxy ect on a loaned lock this exceptional.

Fichet F3D is a interesting mechanism. Consisting of 6 tumblers that interact with gears and two sidebars. Feedback on rotation was subtle, translation was not as bad in my experience. I admit this biting was not that aggressive. I will hopefully be getting another example to show something more akin to what I have seen on average.
