This Western electric 29a has 5 levers with false gates and some warding designed to hinder. However I find it to help separate the levers into 2-3 so indexing position was trivial. I have seen 2 different lever packs for 29a's one with 5 levers with false gates as expected, and a much easier version with no false gates on levers except lever 1. Lever one in these is sprung and has a false gate. You can tell what lever pack by how the key and fence return to locked position.

This Chubb jewelry box lock has 5 false gated levers and the detector lever. Any over lift trips detector and the lock has to be reset. False gates grab really well adding to difficulty. Thanks for watching and cheers

Miwa LB is a rekeyable slider lock. With 13 sliders that all have false and true gates. That interact with 2 sidebars. Having multiple true gates would normally make it easier. In this case they do not. Because of the multiple sidebars and multiple true gates it is very misleading with feedback. Just keep jiggle testing and setting sliders when they feel bound. leave them when they have a nice jiggle to them. Cheers and thanks for watching

Today we have a Fichet 787 as the title suggested. This has 8 levers and matched gears. That interacts with push tension. Tension control and pick pressure are critical. The Emhart lock is a 6 pin tumbler lock with rotating pins. Each pin needs to be lifted and rotated to position. The rotation is +/- 20° and has no limiter so it can rotate fully 360°. Cheers and thanks for waching
