This is the recording of spark gap behavior with different types of grounding with L1 coil in bottom of setup.
This is without diodes in the grounding system.
Listen to the noise in the spark gap when extra grounding is added, even when not directly connected but in neighborhood.
I didn't succeed with this slayer type setup on the 8" and 10" coil system because there wasn't enough feedback to transistor base I think (less windings, less voltage in L2)
