*ABOUT THE MELLOW MOOD CARDIGAN* The inspiration for this cardigan truly came from you, my adventurous beginners. Watching the pride you felt when you finished your first Mellow Mood Sweater or Top, made me want to design the next step for you — a cardigan. It’s still simple, still stylish, with just a few new techniques. So you can focus on what matters the most: the joy of completing your very first cardigan.
*SKILL LEVEL:* Adventurous Beginner.
*METHOD:* Seamless, top-down construction.
You begin with the neckband which is worked in two parts from the back of the neck toward each shoulder. Then stitches are picked up along the edge to shape the yoke. Raglan increases grow the cardigan, and the button bands are worked at the same time. After the yoke, sleeve stitches are set aside while you knit the body with buttonholes. The sleeves are then worked in the round from the top down with basic decreases. This is a unisex design, so you can make one for yourself or as a gift for someone you love.
Make it your own: Choose your preferred length and fit options.
*SIZES:* Available in 11 sizes: XXS–XS–S–M–L–XL–2XL–3XL–4XL–5XL–6XL Designed with approx. 19–30 cm / 7.5–11.75 inches of positive ease. Size reference: I’m wearing size S, 168 cm (5’6’’) tall with a 90 cm (35.5”) bust.
🍭 *MATERIALS*
*1. YARN.* This cardigan can be made with a variety of yarns. Here's what I used for the samples:
Gray and Ivory cardigans were worked in Drops “Nepal” yarn (65% Wool, 35% Alpaca), /10 ply / aran , 50 g/ 75 m or 1.8 oz/ 82 yards per skein, color 0501, Grey and 0100, Off White. You will need: 10-11-11-12-13-13-14-15-15-16-17 50 grams/ 1.8 oz skeins for your size.
Sample 2 (Wine) was worked in Drops“Air” yarn (65% Alpaca, 28% Polyamide, 7% Wool) 10ply, 50 g/ 150 m or 1.8 oz/164 yards per skein, color 59, Ruby Wine).

*ABOUT:* The Summer Soul Top is a beginner-friendly knitting pattern that proves minimalism can feel both stylish and feminine. It’s knit in garter stitch, which makes it simple and approachable—even if it’s your very first garment.
*SKILL LEVEL:* Beginner.
*METHOD:* This top is a seamless, top-down knit. It starts with the upper back section, worked flat in garter stitch, followed by picked-up stitches for the front shoulders, which are gradually increased to shape the neckline. Once the upper front and upper back are joined, the body is worked with garter stitch in the round (alternating knit and purl rounds). For those who prefer flat knitting with side seams, there’s an option to work only knit rows. The top is finished with a 1x1 ribbed hem, with the armholes and neckline framed in 1x1 rib from picked-up stitches.
*SIZES:* Available in 11 sizes: XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL, 6XL. Check out the chart on the photo to help you decide which size to choose.

*SKILL LEVEL:* Ideal for knitters who have completed at least one sweater. The Artist’s Sweater is a gentle introduction to textured knitting, using simple stitches you already know, with just a few new techniques to learn. If you're just starting out, I recommend you begin with the Drop in Dream sweater youtu.be/KzFavboPuSk before moving on to The Artist’s Sweater.
*METHOD:* The sweater is knitted seamlessly from the top down, starting with back-and-forth rows and then moving to working in the round. It begins at the upper back, gradually shaped with increases on every row. Next, stitches are picked up from the shoulders to shape the neckline, then the front and back are joined to continue in the round. The shoulder seam is slightly shifted toward the back. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up and knitted in the round, with decreases made along the way. Finally, stitches for the neckline are picked up and worked in 1x1 rib.
