Your reminder to get a trim 👀🥰 #haircare NappyFu TV 2023-02-10 | #fbf 🗣️DID YOU KNOW…💡Contrary to popular belief cutting/trimming your #hair does not affect its growth, but it does help to avoid split ends, which can work their way up the hair shaft and make the individual shafts thinner, giving your hair the appearance of not growing. Also there is weathered ends that single strand knots like to hang out, which can lead to breakage hence giving the appearance of not growing. So trimming is your friend my fellow coily crew and we should keep up with it. I get a professional trim 2-3 times a year. How often you should go varies so, I suggest meeting with a natural hair specialist for the best assessment of your hair needs. However, if meeting with one is not in your budget or you don’t have access to one I would suggest trimming at least 2 times a year (this is not professional advice, just my opinion). When I first went back to natural I was told every 3 months I no longer agree with that schedule. Every 6 months is just fine for a natural babe who takes care of her coils!
