Aerostar Checkout A2A Simulations 2020-06-24 | Today I (Scott) flew down to New Jersey in the Comanche to get an insurance checkout to resume flying the Aerostar (after sitting for over a year). It was a very interesting day, we feathered the left engine and made a single engine landing. The pilot, Bob Pinto, has 22,000 hours and owns several Aerostars. Needless to say it was a learning experience that is fueling our Accu-Sim Aerostar in development. At the end I showed part of my logbook that I use for instructor based training and sign offs.Today was the first time I flew in a different Aerostar, so it was great to have something to compare mine too.

A2A Aviation - Preparing the Aerostar A2A Simulations 2019-09-04 | We at A2A want to try something a little different by sharing more of our aviation experiences by way of some casual, off-the-cuff videos. This first video is about the Aerostar that has been stuck on the ground after discovering metal in our left engine's oil filter. We pulled the engine and things got delayed, so the airplane has been sitting, trapped inside of a hangar with a door that was not tall enough for it to pass under. We got it in by putting sand bags on the tail, lowering it, and moving the tail under. We have finally solved this issue and can now run up the engine for the first time in about a year.
