It's that time again!
The 2023 #Kwanzaathon: A Week Long Creative Experience is hosted by myself and @BrittWriterly. This year's theme is: A Reel Conversation About Black Community, where participants are encouraged to engage with Black History, community, and people through daily Instagram reels that fill the prompts/principles. This year's group read is Long Division by Kiese Laymon.
Any and everyone is encouraged to participate but remember this week is to highlight, uplift, reflect, and create with all things Black at the forefront. #Kwanzaathon came from the idea that a lot of holidays are celebrated in American culture in December, but one we wish had more representation, especially in the writing community on YouTube is Kwanzaa.
Kwanzaa is an African-American celebration geared on highlighting, strengthening, educating, and uniting the Black community. It is based on the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa called, "Nguzo Saba ".
