Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse Five" was published 4 years before Thomas Pynchon's "Gravity's Rainbow", yet Pynchon was unable to take the greatness of Vonnegut's classic novel and replicate it. In this video, poets and filmmakers Alex Sheremet and Joel Parrish dissect the beautiful, terse prose of Kurt Vonnegut and contrast it with the ugly, bloated, stupid prose of Thomas Pynchon.
