I prove to you that Stanley Kubrick composed his movies, at least since The Shining, for the 4:3 aspect ratio, if not straight-up full-frame 35mm "Open Matte" (Barry Lyndon is an anomaly, though)
CORRECTION: I have made a follow-up video on "A Clockwork Orange" aspect ratio. It was almost certainly made with hard matte, and no full frame 4:3 exposure exists. The Homevideo in 4:3, is a pan & scan of the 1:66, butcherd into 4:3.
