It was a busy first day of summer 2024 for the men and women of your Los Angeles Fire Department, including those in the Beverly Grove area, who responded to LAFD's 774th emergency of the day at 1:17 PM, a fire involving Molly Malone's Irish Pub.
Heavy flames at the front of the 3,500 square foot one-story pub, a local landmark since 1969, were quickly extinguished without injury, with LAFD responders preventing the intense fire from extending into the 95 year-old brick building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
