There's 60 treasures we can collect here, but they aren't necessary for completing GCO so I skip all of them. Old tower is also optional, so we don't waste any time there and head straight to Garden.
After Wham Bam Rock, there's another two-tile gap that Wing is unable to traverse through backwards, which means that we need to switch to parasol to fight Wham Bam Rock. However, we can't use parasol activate the elevator in the 2nd to last room because the ceiling gets just barely too low.
My solution for this was to keep parasol and a Birdon helper through the WBR fight, then switch back to wing once I got to the elevator room. But the helper could never survive long enough against WBR because its AI is so bad, so I instead took control of Birdon and held guard the entire fight, while at the same time taking down WBR.
You could probably clear all of Garden with beam, but I didn't see an easy spot for a mix in that area, and parasol was right before the boss anyways.
