Kryptic Killing is a zombie game attempt. I wanted to combine all my favorite aspects of a zombie game into one. It'll feature a full weapon list, special powers such as slow time , super speed, etc..., the story mode is being worked on, as it starts with you building your base with your fellow survivors and popping you right into the action. and one thing I loved, it gives you traditional zombies. Thanks to Bloody Mess Dismemberment, body part dismemberment will be a feature for this game, but the only true way to kill the zombie, is a shot to the head. Multiple shots. Whether it be a melee weapon or a gun, headshots are required. Because of this, there will be no special zombies or infected. Instead, psychopaths will be a problem along side your decaying menace.
The Arena mode is something close to a mixture of Cod Zombies and Left 4 Dead. I plan on it being wave based , but you also have a goal to reach. The way this will work is a ranking system. The higher waves and points at the end, the higher grade rank you receive , the more you unlock in the shop, the more in game cash for you to spend on upgrades for your story mode.
Story- Still in the drawing phase, however gameplay will be open world, mission lists, and base building. I've always wanted a game like this , so I'm working hard at it. It's not available in the current build as the Building Portion of it is not near completion.
Arena- This mode is a wave based battle against zombies while keeping some elements from story mode. I got to thinking, while I enjoy story games, sometimes you just wanna jump in and shoot stuff. Well that's what this mode is for. As you progress through the waves they will get harder to beat, so be sure to keep barriers built. It will have enough to be a game of its own. This mode right now has one map, and it's not completed. However 5 weapons are available to test out.
You also have powers at your hand. They are harder to get , and will be single use untill you refill it. Currently, I only have a slow time power active. Other powers will be speed boost, Quick Ammo, and more !
I made sure to have a functional options menu. I always hated games that made me choose from a defined list of resolutions and such. So I gave you the option to type in your own resolutions, fullscreen or not, and click apply. As a fail safe, if it does not work, wait 8 seconds and it will switch back to the previous resolution.
Lastly, I hope to get some constructive feed back. Any features you think would be helpful ? I want to take this as serious as possible, and I'm working hard on it. Even just stopping by and telling me good job would be a huge help. Have fun !
