“I have a terrible job. Most of the time, you hear all about the Festival of Yay, and the joy it brings to the monster world and beyond. Presents, cookies, a sense of merriness in the air. I embody none of that, and in fact, I embody the opposite. There are some monsters and particularly monsterlings out there who tend to misbehave, so it is then my job to go in and properly reprimand them. All they are given from me, is a sack of rocks. Now this doesn;t sound too bad, and to be honest, it’s light work, but what really tugs at my heartstrings, is that occasionally, I’ll see a young monster cry because they got the bag of rocks, and not some new toy they wanted or a new instrument. It disheartens me that I have to bring despair upon several monsterlings coming every yay, to be honest, I don’t know what they even did, I just look at the list, follow it, and get sad when I see another monster become depressed, all because of me. My brothers are always talking it up about how they had such Jolly times every Winter, with all festivities you could ever hope for. They’re celebrating the Festival of Yay, but I’m celebrating the Festival of Nay.”
