After facing several ACL tears and a meniscus injury throughout her high school career, Kristen refused to give up. With the support of Dr. Calcei and the team at the UH Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute, she made an incredible comeback — finishing her senior year as a basketball and cross-country team captain and MVP.

Now in college, Kristen is inspired to help athletes like her and hopes to make it her career — using her own recovery journey to motivate and support others through theirs.

At University Hospitals Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute, we’re dedicated to helping athletes of every age and level recover, rebuild, and return stronger than ever.
