As Kraftwerk finished the short European tour leg in September 2002, it was now the turn for the Pacific countries Japan, Australia and New Zealand. The equipment they used back then was quite sensitive against hazards like dust, heat and coldness and it was highly expensive to transport this giant collection of synthesizers oversea. In 2002, they virtualized their synthesizers in form of VSTs and the music is now played on four laptops since then. The flights to the concerts in the Pacific countries were thus a test to see how much transportation costs they save up and if the studio has become resilient against environmental conditions. The comparison shows a stark difference. It only takes a track and for overseas concerts a plane to carry the studio over. The four consoles handled the Japanese winter well and the same applies to the Oceanian summer. This means that Kraftwerk can now do more and larger concert tours. The frequency and the length of the tours only relies on the motivation of the band members nowadays.
Kraftwerk participated in Electraglide, an electronic music festival in Japan that usually takes place during the end of the year in Tokyo and Osaka. The concert length was restricted which is often the case in music festivals, so, the setlist had to be shortened. Airwaves and Tango got removed. The songs changed its order to a pattern that is slightly reminiscent of the setlists from 1991 to 1998. Speaking of changes and resemblances, the band changed their clothes from leather suits to blackshirts for the last time which reminds of their outfits in 1993, 1992 and partially 1991 and 1990. The concert went flawlessly. There was some noise Ralf made with his keyboard before The Model and Music Non Stop, but that doesn't disrupt the songs themselves. Radioactivity, The Robots and in snippets Pocket Calculator got broadcasted on television.

The security was strict at this concert, so, the taper unfortunately had to hide his microphone under his clothes which causes these friction sounds and blocked a lot of the high frequencies. I improved the audio rather in a way that makes the sounds better to make out than in a way that makes it sound fancy because Audacity is more a simple tool and can't do the complex stuff that other apps like iZotope RX can do. Luckily, there is some soundboard audio from the TV broadcast. It has a slightly lower sample rate as it can be heard from the distortion in the treble range, but it still gives an enjoyable and pleasent listen.
