How did evil first come into our world to prey on the innocent? The answer varies depending on where you’re from and what you believe, and the same is true within fictional universes. In most cases, fantasy stories, especially those that follow the battle between good and evil, will have unique origins for the antagonists threatening everything pure or worth protecting. In K-pop Demon Hunters, the evil force our heroes fight tooth and nail to defeat is the Demon Lord, Gwi-Ma, and although he’s built quite a reputation for himself, we still don’t know when he first emerged or the events that led to the first hunters rising to defeat him. The first film created a world rich with lore and a longstanding history, and some of the details should be touched on in the sequel.
