Tonight we’re taking a closer look at Kouri Richins’ courtroom reactions and body language during sentencing — from the victim impact statements to the judge’s life without parole sentence.
Some reactions seemed deeply emotional. Others felt ... a little different.
On March 4, 2022, Eric Richins died of a massive fentanyl overdose. His wife, Kouri Richins, later wrote a children’s book about helping her children cope with his death. On March 16, 2026, a jury convicted Kouri Richins of aggravated murder for poisoning him with fentanyl.
