SMASH CITY STUDIOS - Home of Star Wars KOTOR Saga | KOTOR Episode II : Festival Edition Preview #1 @SmashCityStudios | Uploaded October 2013 | Updated October 2024, 18 hours ago.
As Episode II: Veil of the Dark Side begins to get some consideration for venues outside of youtube and torrents, such as festivals, so too did we have to make some considerations for the movie. Both the runtime, and output settings for the film had to change. The new cut is 92 minutes long - giving the movie a fresh and fast paced feel. Fans of the original do not fret, the originals will always be available. We also had to uprez the movie to give it a native 16:9 for projection. While doing this, we've begun to re-do some scenes that needed the most work - as far as quality issues go.
Some chances, like in this scene here, we were able to have some fun with it and really give the movie an even bigger cinematic feel.
Thanks to JC for his amazing work on re-doing this scene... also thanks to "Sir Palamides" and "Darth Revan 789" from the KOTOR Message Board Forums for providing the rendered posters used in the video. Finally, thanks to Yceman for the well placed "What" given by Bastila.
