Korn Life is Peachy album but with the SM64 soundfont and with music sheet of the midis.
Whelp I did it again and made another KoRn album with this soundfont. I noticed I received a lot of requests to do this album and the Issues album. I wasn't sure which to tackle first. Initially researching I found that Life is Peachy is a fan favorite album but critiques like Issues better. It also seems that Life is Peachy was dark and heavy like the self titled and albums afterwards did not have that "raw" sound.
Doing these videos is my first time listening to KoRn other than hearing a few of their hit singles. I have to say this album is pretty cool, has some fun riffs to play on guitar. I personally really like the self titled album I would say I probably like that one more than Life is Peachy. As for Follow the Leader, I haven't really listened to it a lot so I should probably listen to it more to see which of the albums I enjoy hearing.
In terms of working on the album, I made sure to take my time. I spent a little bit of my free time to make this and looks like it took about a month to do. In terms of the work I did I had to edit some of the drums, bass and guitar tracks. Most vocal tracks I had to write from scratch / guess the pitch. Some of the midis already had the work done for me but not all.
And then there's Swallow and Wicked. Both of these tracks I couldn't find a midi to work. I was able to find tabs for bass, guitar, and drums but they were as barebones as you can get. I remembered when I didn't include the two tracks in the Follow the Leader album I got so many comments asking why I didn't include them (because I couldn't find the midi to work with).
After making some of these soundfont videos I have been getting a bit comfortable listening to some parts of the song and guessing the timing within the melody or even the notation (such as what I have done with some drum tracks previously). So I thought I would try that with these two tracks on this album and honestly I'm pretty proud of what I accomplished I think they sound pretty accurate to the original and are enjoyable to listen to.
Also wanted to mention for the thumbnail I saw a comment suggesting I put Peach in it but honestly I totally forgot the comment until I was putting this final video together. Sorry! So when I was making the thumbnail I always like including Mario (since its Mario 64 soundfont) and in terms of a character behind him I was going to do Metal Mario but thought that would be too basic. So I then realized that Lakitu is always behind you and I figured that the original Life is Peachy album cover is supposed to depict this idea of something always being behind you without you noticing. In Mario 64 Lakitu with the camera is always behind you, the game only makes note of it in a few instances. So I thought putting Lakitu would be funny.
