At the age of 12, Russell Curry wrote his first rap, partly inspired by his favorite rapper Mos Def, and also in an attempt to emulate his older brother. Throughout college, he performed at many events and found joy in seeing others listen to his work. After working a desk job, he decided to pursue his passion, and he joined the growing movement of young artists and entrepreneurs to craft out their own destinies. Russell has already shared stages with recording artists such as Gym Class Heroes, Trek Life, 2Mex and M1 of legendary Hip Hop duo Dead Prez.

Kollaboration is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Asian Americans in entertainment and media where API are often underrepresented and misrepresented. Since 2000, Kollaboration has hosted the premier Asian-American talent show in the country.

Kollaboration Los Angeles 2013 will take place at the beautiful Ford Amphitheatre on Friday, July 26th. Enjoy great music and entertainment from the most talented up-and-coming Asian American artists in Los Angeles on cool a summer night! This year boasts one of the most talented line-ups ever! The winner of Kollaboration Los Angeles 2013 has the chance advance to the final round and compete at Kollaboration Star.
