Kobe Bryant’s reaction to Phil Jackson retiring after the 2010-11 season. Jackson was the head coach of the Lakers from 1999 to 2004, and from 2005 to 2011. This is from an interview Kobe did with Panini in 2011.

Excerpt from ‘Baron Davis shares what happened when he played a random game of 1 on 1 against Kobe Bryant at UCLA’ article by Peter Sunjic:
"One day, we were practicing that night at UCLA, and all of a sudden Kobe Bryant walks in the gym. I'm on the bike, watching the team practice. He (Kobe) goes on the other court he's just like shooting… I get off the bike, and I start rebounding for him. Next thing you know I start rebounding. Next thing you know I start rebounding the ball and pass it to him, closing out, doing little dummy defense."
Things, as described by Baron, began to heat up. Even though he was injured, playing one-on-one with Kobe Bryant was a privilege for Davis, and he treated it as such.
"About five minutes later, me and Kobe Bryant are sitting there playing one on one. And I was not supposed to be playing."
"He kicked my butt"
In some previous interviews, Davis stated that this famous 1-on-1 ended 4 games to 2 in Kobe's favor, but at this moment, Baron knew he was destined for bigger and better things.
"I was like, damn, dude. I must be going to the pros now playing one-on-one with Kobe. He kicked my butt, but I was still injured. We laugh about that all the time."
