In an exclusive interview with Tennis Majors, the Serbian talked about his greatest sources of inspiration: "Many athletes have influenced me over the years. I have spoken several times about Kobe Bryant. I also knew Diego Armando Maradona well.
We talked many times about life and sport and he gave me some important tips. The same goes for Michael Jordan. If we talk about tennis: Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi and Boris Becker. The last two were also my coaches. I appreciate the story of each athlete and all that the greats of the past have done to make the sport a global." Djokovic shares a great relationship with some of the NBA's stars.
Bogdan Bogdanovic recently thanked him for his constant advice: "I read what he said and I can't thank him enough, because he is a friend, a great guy and an amazing basketball player who I support in everything he does. Together with Nikola Jokic, he is flying the Serbian flag in the NBA.
We talk whenever we get the chance. It's always interesting to learn more about their routine, how they train and recover, their approach, etc. As a professional athlete, you must always strive to improve and learn from others."
