Berryshine has been stone-cold sober for a long time now, but nopony would know.
Ever since the fateful day she was caught taking a hasty, cheeky drink from the punchbowl, it became commonplace to label her as the alcoholic among her friends, despite her already careful drinking practices. "Berry's getting punched again," they'd laugh, and soon her real name went nearly unused in favor of "Berry Punch."
The story spread, and the giggles behind hooves and smug glances towards her multiplied whenever she might be found in a public place capable of serving drink. Worn by the stereotype, Berryshine started avoiding alcohol altogether, becoming hesitant to enter bars or parties.
Months following her previous visit, Berryshine plucks up the courage to visit one of her old favorite bars, hoping to Celestia that none of the friends that teased her previously might be there. Maintaining her sobriety and sipping on juice, she catches up with the bartender, taps her hoof against the barstool to the music playing overhead... and then her ears give a dreadful prick towards a distinct and unfortunately familiar giggle from the booth in the back corner. Her brow furrows, her hoof tightening its grip on her glass as the voice's owner says gleefully,
"Look - Berry's getting punched again."
