When you think Knuckles in Sonic The Comic, you'll more than likely think of Nigel Dobbyn's Knuckles. Like many who grew up with STC, Nigel's portrayal of Knuckles is always fondly remembered. Though Nigel did give us some other wonderful strips featuring Sonic, Chaotix, Amy, Robotnik and Captain Plunder respectably, its Knuckles most will think of when they hear Nigel's name. I've had the pleasure of meeting Nigel on several occasions and commissioned him a couple times too. Nigel was always so humble and kind to me and gave a very much warm approachable vibe. Nigel always loved his fans, I remember once at a convention where it was closing time and the staff was informing him to wrap things up, he declined to leave until every fan that was in the queue to see him was seen This was on his own time, he wasn't being paid by by anyone in the queue. Its very sad to hear that he has passed on at such an early age, my heart goes out to his family and close friends. On a personal note, thank you for the childhood memories of growing up with your artwork. That's something I'll never forget. So join me as we do a Nigel Dobbyn Knuckles marathon honouring his legendary work from issues 65 -100.
