Part 1 of a three-part virtual professional development series for educators, counselors, and school administrators on the dangers of youth vaping in Idaho.

1 in 5 Idaho students has tried vaping at least once. Vaping is highly addictive and poses serious health risks to youth. Physicians in Idaho are seeing children as young as age 7 with vape-related injuries.

Throughout the course of this professional development series, experts will discuss the specifics of how vaping harms the brain, lungs, and overall physical and mental health. The series informs educators on how to help students avoid vaping and provides them with a wealth of resources they can use in the classroom.

KNOW VAPE is a statewide awareness campaign about the dangers of youth vaping and includes the Nic Sick documentary; free parent and youth resources; curriculum for educators; shareable social media; and anti-vape video contests for teens.
