VeryPink Knits | Knitting Tutorial - Flip Top Mitts @verypinkknits | Uploaded March 2021 | Updated October 2024, 33 minutes ago.
In this video, I run through the techniques used in these flip top mitts, designed by Vanessa Ewing. In the intro of the video I say that the sizes are all for adults, that was a mistake! The smallest size is for toddlers!
You can see the kits; which include the pattern, yarn, and buttons - on Kraemer's website here:
patternsbykraemer.com/products/flip-top-mitts-kit-designed-by-vanessa-ewing?variant=37856177455256
The pattern is available on its own here:
patternsbykraemer.com/products/flip-top-mitts-designed-by-vanessa-ewing?_pos=1&_sid=11e2cf3dc&_ss=r
The Perfection Worsted yarn colors you'll see in the video:
Teal - Puddle
Purple - Evening Song
Rust - Cinnamon
Green - Olive
Gray - Silver Grey
Tan - Sand
If you're new to knitting mitts, I recommend knitting this easy pattern first to get a feel for it. Free pattern and tutorial, Easy Fingerless Mitts: verypink.com/2013/05/01/easy-fingerless-mitts
The long-tail cast-on method I use: youtu.be/sN9cNEozOLc
My magnetic needle case can be found here:

The scarf on the mannequin is Mentolat (not my design, free pattern on Ravelry) using Kramer Perfection DK yarns.
