you may have seen me upload this a couple weeks ago but i took it down shortly as we managed to track down a much better rip. this demo of internet friends sat on the Triple J House Party mix cd since 2012!
so with the help of notdrewmoore, we ordered one from discogs and here's what we got.
this version of internet friends has acoustic drums in the breakdown, some cowbells at the very end and possibly even missing harmonics for the sub bass. it's also shorter but only because it's a radio edit.
it's possible that it predates the 2011 august Ibiza version, as that one is identical to the release version (albeit is a different render), however we have no proof of its origin date so far. what's for sure is that it seems to be an internal copy of Triple J as we had both nina las vegas use it in a jjj specific mix in 2012 and the editor of J files played it in 2020 also. Triple J is known to have debuted 'destroy them with lazers' on air, so they definitely have been getting promo from knife party in some shape or form.
what i did to the audio: edited the mixed track out of the first 3 seconds, fixed the bpm, added outro fade, otherwise untouched
