On March 8, 2024, the Kavli Nanoscience Institute held a science symposium to celebrate twenty years of innovation and impact in nanoscience and nanotechnology at the center. The second session of the KNI20 symposium, "Utilizing Quantum Computational Advantage", featured an introduction by Caltech’s assistant professor of Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics Dr. Mohammad Mirhosseini and a talk by Dr. John Martinis (University of California, Santa Barbara) entitled, "Fabrication of Utility-Scale Quantum Computers".
