At the one and only Mushroom Kingdom Water Park, the construction crew recently built the park's newest attraction, a race track with underwater sections, anti-gravity, and all kind of twists (yes, pun intended). Peach, Yoshi, Bowser Jr., and Hammer Bro are excited to take their karts for a spin on this new course!
This is the first Mario Kart 8 track in this K'nex Mario Kart series, and it was an extremly close decision between Water Park, Thwomp Ruins, and Mario Kart Stadium. The reason I ditched Thwomp Ruins is because it didn't have much of an underwater section. I also scrapped Mario Kart Stadium not only because of that same reason, but also it's the first track in the game, and I already did two first-track-in-the-game courses, GBA Peach Circuit and DS Figure 8 Circuit. So I stuck with Water Park.
But the course itself wasn't without its trial and error; that underwater merry-go-round took a few tries to get to function at all times. And also, the anti-gravity loop was very tough to make, and so was the filming, but i still managed to get a decent shot. But the worst of all was the marionettes, or should i say... Mario-nettes! Ha ha ha! But seriously, it's hard to describe how much of a daunting task it was to tie the string to the popsicle sticks, and to get the glider and the karts to hang from it properly. The string was so clear, that even I couldn't see where it was on the marionettes sometimes. But i pulled it all off and it looked great!
The underwater scenes from N64 Choco Mountain were poorly lit, but thanks to the help of a flashlight, that flaw was fixed (sort of), so I'll never have to worry about it again.
I put a lot of time and work into this video (I got right to this project after i uploaded N64 Choco Mountain), so I hope you enjoy it!
