After being defeated at N64 Choco Mountain, Dry Bowser takes his hoard of hungry Piranha Plants to Sweet Sweet Canyon, where they can wolf down all the cake, candy, and other sweet treats they want. Fearing that this historical landmark will no longer exist if this continues, The Sweet Sweet Kingdom called Daisy to drive Dry Bowser and his pesky pets away from their land. Daisy gets help from her best friend, Peach, and their tough gorilla pal, Donkey Kong. Will they succeed in preventing the Piranha plants from devouring the landscape, or will Sweet Sweet Canyon disappear forever?
I've been wanting to do another course from Mario Kart 8 for quite a while now. I also wanted to continue the story of Daisy and friends V.S. Dry Bowser and his Piranha Plants. With those two factors in consideration, I had my mind set on Sweet Sweet Canyon since the development of my SNES Donut Plains 2 video.
I think I did a better job on the props and set pieces than in most of my videos. There actually wasn't much to the giant cake and the giant candle except for paper and K'nex pieces, but together, they still looked pretty decent!
For those of you who are fans of the modern D.K. voice, I'm sorry for using the D.K. voice clips from Mario Kart 64. But for his modern voice, I couldn't find a video that had longer intervals between voice clips instead of going right to the next clip without a break.
I kinda had the same problem with Dry Bowser, so I got a little bit lazy and used the Bowser voice from Mario Kart 64 as well. But, hey, at least they're different from the voice clips used for Bowser in my SNES Donut Plains 2 video, unlike some other places where the sound clips of Bowser and Dry Bowser are the same (*cough* *cough* New Super Mario Bros 2. *cough* *cough* Super Mario 3D Land).
