Fun little bit of fluff circa 1982 off KMSP-TV 9's newscast. What day? I don't know. What year? Judging by the Toni Basil "Mickey" snippet at the end (that I left on purpose since I love Casey Kasem) it's 1982! The story? 69,000 White Castle hamburgers on their way to Albuquerque.
For context, White Castle used to only be available in the Midwest. They've got a few locations on the west coast now (and of course they have those microwavable sliders I assume you can buy from any store) so here's a very interesting look at early 80s regional fast food events.
