I had last set a record on this fight almost 12 years ago and attempts to improve it always failed, due to the boss always wanting to start with Water Cannon. For the longest time, the answer to why always eluded me. However a recently submitted TAS finally gave the answer - my crystal count. The RNG is dictated by this count and if it's 6n+4, the boss won't open with water cannon! In my previous record, it was 16 (6x2+4) In the time of Water Cannon Start, it was 75. Now it's 40 (6x6+4) right back in line with the formula and the patterns immediately arrived.
Never thought this day would come!
