💡Discover the Klik module. Add a playable 4x4 button matrix to your Kastle or Volca synth for ultimate hands-on control and experimental patching.
🗒️ How does it work?
There are 8 patch points connected to 4 rows (ABCD) and 4 columns (1234) of buttons. Pressing button A1 connects point A to point 1. A2 connects A to 2. B2 connects B to 2 and so on.
It is best used by dedicating rows to outputs and columns to inputs. In this configuration every possible combination of buttons will connect outputs to inputs and cause a change in the behaviour of the synthesizer.
Based on the Synapsis by Bastl Instruments ! (...hope the guys are ok with it).
⏱️ Chapters:
0:08 – Intro
0:20 – Controls
0:40– Sound demo with Kastle 2 Wave Bard

![These Two Synths Belong Together (Bastl Kastle 2 + Soma ROAT)
💎 Dive into a world of sonic sorcery with a powerful duo of portable synths! In this video, were pairing the SOMA Labs Rumble of Ancient Times (RoAT) with the Bastl Instruments Kastle 2 FX Wizard for a journey into glitchy, rhythmic, and unpredictable sound design.
The SOMA Rumble of Ancient Times (RoAT) is a compact 8-bit noise synthesizer and sequencer that channels the spirit of early computer game audio. With its four oscillators, complex mixing algorithms, and Chaos button for instant randomization, its a machine built for generating unique soundscapes, dense noise, and wild rhythmic patterns.
Were feeding the RoATs raw, glitchy signal into the Bastl Instruments Kastle 2 FX Wizard, a patchable stereo multi-effects unit thats all about creative manipulation. The FX Wizard offers nine unique effects—from delays and flangers to crushers and pitch shifters—which can be modulated by its built-in LFO, pattern generator, and envelope follower. Its not about presets; its about crafting your own dynamic, evolving sound.
Watch as we explore the happy accidents and unexpected sonic transformations that happen when these two instruments collide. Get ready for some chaotic chiptune, modular mayhem, and a whole lot of weird, wonderful noise!
